Just last month Weinstein Co. announced that The Road was being pushed back to Thanksgiving, which would coincide with its release of Nine, as well as the releases of Fantastic Mr. Fox, Ninja Assassin, and Old Dogs, leaving Greg and I wonder if his post-apocalyptic flick would beat out my musical for our attention.
Well, apparently the Weinsteins just LOOOOOOVE to move their movies around. (I mean, is there an epidemic going around with Shutter Island AND Youth in Revolt being pushed back to next year?) It was reported today that Nine would ALSO be pushed back, hopping from one holiday to the next, bowing on December 18 in limited release (to face off with Avatar) and releasing wide on Christmas Day (to lose to...er...battle with Sherlock Holmes). I don't know about you, folks, but I'm getting tired of all these movies switching about. These studios are getting all willy nilly with their dates--don't they know that I already had my winter films all mapped out?!
