
Hate it or dislike it, the Shrek series is returning to theaters May 21, 2010, and this time it's in 3D.
A couple shots from the fourth and final film, titled Shrek Forever After, appeared in Wednesday's USA Todayalong with the skinny on the plot, which is described as the Brothers Grimm meets It's a Wonderful Life. New cast additions include Jon Hamm (Mad Men) as a handsome ogre and Kathy Griffin and Kristin Schall (Flight of the Conchords) as a pair of ogre-hunting witches. Mike Mitchell (Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, Sky High) will direct.
The trailer for Shrek Forever After will premiere Dec. 18 at screenings of Avatar.
