The name of Quentin Tarantino's forthcoming film has been changed to Inglourious Basterds. Don't ask us why. The studio doesn't know either.
The movie was previously known as Inglorious Bastards, but a spokesman for the film's publicists said "We are not entirely sure the reasons why it has been changed. We think it just has to be one of those Tarantino-esque things. All we do know is that it's definitely the title from now on."
The World War II drama is due for release next year, starring Brad Pitt, Eli Roth, Mike Myers, Michael Fassbender, Diane Kruger, Christoph Waltz and Paul Rust.
The film centers on a disparate group of Jewish-American soldiers who face German armed forces in Nazi-occupied France.
