The Invention of Lying - (58% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes)
Lying--even the concept of a lie--does not exist. Everyone--from politicians to advertisers to the man and woman on the street--speaks the truth and nothing but the truth with no thought of the consequences. But when a down-on-his-luck loser named Mark (Ricky Gervais) suddenly develops the ability to lie, he finds that dishonesty has its rewards. Critics are saying it doesn't quite follow through on its promise, and relies too heavily on shopworn romantic comedy tropes, but The Invention of Lying is uncommonly sly and funny.
Toy Story Double Feature in 3D - (100% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes)
We got the chance to see this bad boy last week and even if you own the films you owe it to yourself to see them like this. Pixar designed these films with 3-dimensional space in mind so the conversion to 3D is totally organic feeling but most of all impressive. For a 10 year old movie the animation really holds up, the performances are still just as good, and the level of detail that they had back then is better than some films today. Also the double feature new intro, the video intermission, and promises of the Toy Story 3 trailer are enough for you to plunk down $10 this weekend.
Capitalism: A Love Story - (73% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes)

Whip It! - (79% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes)
Drew Barrymore makes her directorial debut with this feisty, female-friendly action-comedy. JUNO's Ellen Page stars as Bliss Cavendar, a young woman who longs to break free of her small-town bonds by joining the rough-and-tumble sport of roller derby in nearby Austin, Texas. Critics are saying while the film is made from overly familiar ingredients, Drew Barrymore's directorial debut has enough charm, energy, and good-natured humor to transcend its many cliches.
