Madasgascar: Escape 2 Africa - (61% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes)
The first one was at 55%, so unless critics are starting to warm up to it, logic dictates this one won't be as annoying. Although, not all critics have reported in, so this baby could drop to rotten territory pretty quickly. After they escaped from New York City, the creatures of 2005's MADAGASCAR are back in this African adventure. The sequel features the return of the first film's vocal talents: Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, Jada Pinkett Smith, Sacha Baron Cohen, Cedric the Entertainer, and Andy Richter.
Soul Men - (45% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes)
Two former backup soul singers Louis (Samuel L. Jackson) and Floyd (Bernie Mac) travel cross country to perform at a tribute concert in honor of their famous former band leader. They haven't spoken to each other in 20 years but reluctantly agree to travel together for the tribute performance. Both Jackson and Mac did their own musical and dance performing in the film. It's also the last film from the late great Bernie Mac, and we are told he and Jackson really delivery their A-game despite the sub par material.
