Adventureland - (86% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes) Pick of the Week
Superbad director Greg Mottola is back with this comedy/drama about a floundering college grad (Jesse Eisenberg) who decides to work at an amusement park when his post-graduation plans fall through. Critics are saying it's full of humor and nostalgia, and that Adventureland is a sweet, insightful coming-of-age comedy that will resonate with teens and adults alike.
Fast & Furious - (21% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes)
Heading back to the streets where it all began, the original team is back to blast muscle, tuner and exotic cars across Los Angeles and floor through the Mexican desert. When a crime brings them back to L.A., fugitive ex-con Dom Toretto reignites his feud with agent Brian O'Conner. But as they are forced to confront a shared enemy, Dom and Brian must give in to an uncertain new trust if they hope to outmaneuver him. Consensus tells us while Fast and Furious features the requisite action and stunts, the filmmakers have failed to provide a competent story or compelling characters. Oh, and they say the acting is real bad too.
