Nikki Finke over at Deadline Hollywood has indicated a deal is done to bring Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire back to Spiderman-land for two more films.
James Vanderbilt's (Zodiac) script includes an arc that spans two films, and Raimi will film the next two back-to-back as a result (that and it's cheaper.)
You can expect Spiderman to be back in web-slinging action May 20th, 2011. Sources say Kirsten Dunst has no deal yet, but that her character is returning and will not be recast.
We're sure details, in addition to all the fanboy speculation, will begin pouring in hand-over-fist as production starts to gear up. Anyone excited?
