New School Media has just snatched up the rights to the Chuck Palahniuk novel Haunted. Belgian filmmaker Koen Mortier has signed on to write and adapt the film about a group of writers who sign up for a secret retreat to finish their masterpieces. Once there, they are locked in this old theatre and begin to create misery for themselves in order to provide them with the best story once they are rescued.
IMDb and Wikipedia are hard pressed to find anything out about Mortier but upon YouTubing his name, we came across several of his trailers, and he seems to have some visual flair. And according to IMDb he has won several awards for his film, so here's hoping it's awesome.
