Golden Globe noms announced! Who made the cut?

Answer: Up in the Air. With six nominations, the George Clooney flick topped the Golden Globe nominations, beating out other Best Picture Drama contenders, The Hurt Locker, Inglourious Basterds, Previous, and even Avatar, which is getting a late surge to become a possible Oscar heavyweight.

Most races are pretty straightforward with not many surprises, especially the supporting categories, which seem pretty locked for the rest of the awards season. A couple of surprises, though: no Jeremy Renner for Best Actor Drama for The Hurt Locker, the lack of the Coen Bros. A Serious Man, the inclusion of Sandra Bullock in Best Actress Drama, and the lack of the Hangover guys in any categories.

You can read after the jump for the full list of film nominations.
