Does the thought of reboots make you want to rip your eyes from your face? Well, avert your gaze.
Variety reports that Fantastic Four will get the redo treatment from 20th Century Fox with Akiva Goldsman (I Am Legend, Hancock) as producer. Fortunately, Goldsman — who wrote both Batman Forever and Batman and Robin — won't be handling the do-over's script. Co-writer of the upcoming Green Lantern film Michael Green (Heroes, Smallville) will have that honor.
Though this follows recent news of Disney's purchase of Marvel Comics for $4 billion, that deal has no impact on Marvel properties Fox has licensed from the comic book company, including X-Men, Silver Surfer, Fantastic Four and Daredevil.
