The latest biopic trailer hit the internet this week with Notorious.
The story will follow Biggie's rise to fame, from dealing crack in Brooklyn as a kid in the 1980s to the heights of rap superstardom in the 90s and a plethora of aliases.
Newcomer Jamal Woolard will play Biggie Smalls, aka Biggie, aka Frank White, aka Big Poppa, aka Christopher George Latore Wallace. The very accomplished Angela Bassett will play his mother Voletta, while Derek Luke will play Sean Combs, aka Diddy, aka P.Diddy, aka Puff, aka Puffy, aka Puff Daddy, aka Sean John. Million Dollar Baby's Anthony Mackie will play Tupac Shakur, and Antonique Smith, of Across the Universe, will play Faith Evans.
The flick opens January 16. While we're definitely not the connoisseurs of hip hop, the Biggie, Puff Daddy, Tupac story still intrigues us. Thoughts?
