Toy company Hasbro announced today that Megatron and company will return to theaters July 11, 2011. Can't you already imagine the computer graphic that cleverly changes July 11 into 2011? Studios are so clever and original.
Transformers 3 jumps into an already crowded pool of movies set to release in the summer of 2011. Spider Man 4, Thor and The Hangover 2 will all release in May and are followed by The Green Lantern and the Kung Fu Panda sequel in June. July is bursting at the seams with the second part of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, The First Avenger: Captain America, Battleship and The Smurfs. Disney plans to release the latest installment of Pirates of the Caribbean that summer as well. At this rate, my summer 2010 preview might read: "save your money and stay at home, 2011 is gonna be a doozy."
