As with most comedians who make a name for themselves with raunchy jokes aimed at guys in their mid-20s, Adam Sandler has hit a lull in his career. How do I know? Over the weekend my little sister told me how hilarious Bedtime Stories was. Enough said.
Expect things to get worse before they get better since Variety announced today that Sandler will star in the romantic comedy Jack and Jill, which is written by Todd Garner (Paul Blart: Mall Cop) and will be produced by Happy Madison. Sandler will play Jack as well as his twin sister Jill.
Actors always seem to start taking pansy roles like this once their
kids grow up and are old enough to realize what they do. Since Los
Angeles is basically a lawless place for celebrities anyways, I say we
create a compound with an endless supply of drugs, alcohol and
scantily clad models for actors as they move into their twilight years
to discourage them from going soft. It'll be kind of like a retirement
home only with less suicide.
