The DGA have just announced their list for outstanding achievement in directing this year, and these nominees are significant. Why? Because since the DGA started handing out awards in 1948, there have only been six instances in which the winner has not gone on to receive Oscar gold. You guys think they got the nominees right?

DGA Nominees:

Kathryn Bigelow (THE HURT LOCKER)
James Cameron (AVATAR)
Lee Daniels (PRECIOUS)
Jason Reitman (UP IN THE AIR)
Quentin Tarantino (INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS)
