Yes, he is taking a film break away from the Batman series and is currently planning to direct a script he wrote called Inception, a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind. Rumor has circulated that the film is revolving around a war for the colonization of Venus, but who knows if you can trust rumor.

Color us excited, because last time Nolan stepped away for a breath of fresh air he brought us the outstanding Prestige. So while Inception looks to shoot this year for a 2010 release date, we will be left wanting for another Batman sequel until at least 2011.
