And the hearts of many deflate. But fear not loyal Movie Pressers, Chow is still staying on to slap on the mask once donned by Bruce Lee. He just isn't directing. Why you might ask? Well it appears there are some "creative differences" going on between everyone, and Chow has stepped down. Who's going to replace him? Yet to be determined, but we are still going to be seeing Seth Rogen team up with Chow from a script by Rogen.
There's not truth to this, but after having seen Stephen Chow's film, I imagine he probably wanted to take it in a wacky weird direction with some way over the top shenanigans that wouldn't have melded well with the script and tone everyone else was looking for. What do you guys thing? Saddened? Or cautiously optimistic?
