So Dreamworks' animated features don't really excite me much ever since Shrek 2 and 3. Yeah, Kung Fu Panda really restored my faith in the studio's animated flicks, but typically their schlock really boils down to fart jokes, which I'm a little too old for... But, color me excited for its newest film, How to Train Your Dragon! Check out the trailer below.
First of all it has a stellar voice cast of Jay Baruchel, Jonah Hill, Kristen Wiig, Gerard Butler, and McLovin'. Secondly, it has a dragon that kinda looks like a cat and is totally adorable. I can firmly get behind this. What do you guys think? I think 2010 is going to be a much better year for movies than this year. The film bows March 26.

Well, Jerry Bruckheimer totally wants Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time to be the next Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. How can I tell? Umm...look at the title. Bruckheimer just LOVES long titles with colons in them. Also, just watch the trailer below. Okay, it looks slightly cheesy and a tad bit too serious with itself, but I'm totally digging Jake Gyllenhaal as an action hero. What about you?
Prince of Persia will bow in theaters May 28, 2010.

The trailer for Mel Gibson's upcoming thriller Edge of Darkness has hit the internet with a preview that looks to be half Mystic River, half Taken. Edge of Darkness marks Mel's first starring role since 2002's Signs and is helmed by Casino Royale director Martin Campbell, who also directed the 1985 BBC series the movie is adapted from.

Check out the newest trailer for The Fantastic Mr. Fox, Wes Anderson's
first foray into stop motion animated film. The movie features voice
work by George Clooney, Bill Murray, Meryl Streep, Owen Wilson and
live action acting by Willem Dafoe who plays a rat. Okay I made that
last part up but seriously, I think you could sub him in and kids
wouldn't notice.
I'm excited about the prospect of indie directors, who have found the recent recession putting a squeeze on their creative endeavors, taking their set of particular skills to mainstream children fare. Tim Burton has obviously already put his touch on Alice in Wonderland, and Spike Jonze is putting his spin on Where the Wild Things Are, so I'm curious to see if Anderson can make Fantastic Mr. Fox as good and as promising as these trailers seem.

Pierre Morel is at it again with some high stakes wham bam action that is sure to be that movie that sneaks up and pleases you immensely. Yeah I loved Taken and District 13 was fun as shit, bring it. John Travolta seems to be enjoying his screen time opposite Johnathan Rhys Meyers who stars as a young employee in the office of the US Ambassador who hooks up with an American spy (Travolta) looking to stop a terrorist attack in the city in From Paris With Love. I'm in, you guys?

A promo trailer for the 2010 release Stone has just hit the net and it showcases Edward Norton in his bad boy "I've got a goatee" mode and De Niro trying to latch onto some of his former glory. The film also co-stars Milla Jovovich. Norton plays a convicted arsonist looking to manipulate a parole officer (De Niro)into a plan to secure his parole by placing his beautiful wife (Jovovich) in the lawman's path. Looks like it could potentially be good. What do you guys think? Currently there is no release date set other than a 2010 release.

You waited, you watched, and here it is for your work day enjoyment the Michael Jackson This Is It trailer. If last night's Janet Jackson tribute at the VMAs didn't get your blood pumping for some MJ, this trailer sure will. It's only more of a shame now that no one gets to see this concert beyond this footage, as it looked like something truly special. Tickets have already gone on sale and the film will only be showing for two weeks, so be sure and snatch up yours ASAP.

The good folks over at /Film got the exclusive first look at the Up in the Air teaser/trailer from director Jason Reitman (Juno, Thank You For Smoking). The film stars George Clooney and a pretty all star cast and is set for release this December. The buzz out of the Telluride Film Festival is excellent and the trailer looks awesome. The film tells the story of Ryan Bingham, a corporate downsizing expert, whose cherished life on the road is threatened just as he is on the cusp of reaching ten million frequent flyer miles and just after he's met the frequent-traveler woman of his dreams. What do you guys think?

Take a gander below and see some of the fun star Sam Worthington and French action maestro Louis Leterrier are cooking up for March 2010. Say what you will about Leterrier's previous films The Transporter and The Incredible Hulk, the man knows how to direct the shit out of some action. So when it came time to hand over the reigns to a sweeping sword and sandle epic, I got excited. That and that Sam Worthington is so hot right now. What do you guys think?
