![]() Walt Disney Studios announced over XMAS that they will not be co-producing and co-financing the adaptation of CS Lewis' The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, the third of the Narnia films. This leaves Walden Media, the other big force behind the films, to find another partner if the film is indeed to hit screens in 2010.Disney cited "budgetary and logistical" reasons for the move, which probably translates as "it's very expensive, and the last one didn't do so brilliantly at the box office". ![]() As it turns out Jim Carrey is still the king, at least when it comes to this past weekend's showdown of the 20 million dollar man between he and Will Smith. Smith and Carrey had the smallest opening grosses in a while, especially when it comes to main stream films, but it appeared the overall box office was in a slump. Studios blamed it on poor weather, but limited releases had no problem packing in sold out crowds, so make your own conclusions. But fear not loyal Movie Pressers, Chow is still staying on to slap on the mask once donned by Bruce Lee. He just isn't directing. Why you might ask? Well it appears there are some "creative differences" going on between everyone, and Chow has stepped down. Who's going to replace him?
