Apple has the new trailer for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button right HERE.

For Fitzgerald purists, it looks as though Fincher and company not only elaborated on the short story to create a full length feature, but they also changed some of the story elements entirely. After watching the trailer, it looks like it won't be for the worst. December 25th couldn't be further away.

Although, he was 83 years old and denying that he had cancer, the news that Paul Newman passed away still makes us sad.

Surrounded by his family and close friends at his farmhouse near Westport, Conn., Newman succumbed Friday after a long battle with cancer, according to a statement from publicist Jeff Sanderson.

Famed for his intense blue eyes, his love of car racing and one of the coolest demeanors ever to heat up the silver screen, Newman was nominated for Oscars ten times, winning one for The Color of Money in 1987.

But perhaps his proudest accomplishment, besides his 50-year marriage to actress Joanne Woodward, was starting Newman's Own, which since 1982 has made popcorn, spaghetti sauce, lemonade and salad dressing and has donated more than $250 million to charities selected by Newman himself.

We're guessing his character isn't returning for Cars 2 then? All jokes aside, this makes us very sad. And we had to choose a photo of Newman as we choose to remember him, pre-salad dressing and looking hot.

I just love your flashy ways... Oh, got carried away there for a bit.

The latest biopic trailer hit the internet this week with Notorious.
The story will follow Biggie's rise to fame, from dealing crack in Brooklyn as a kid in the 1980s to the heights of rap superstardom in the 90s and a plethora of aliases.

Newcomer Jamal Woolard will play Biggie Smalls, aka Biggie, aka Frank White, aka Big Poppa, aka Christopher George Latore Wallace. The very accomplished Angela Bassett will play his mother Voletta, while Derek Luke will play Sean Combs, aka Diddy, aka P.Diddy, aka Puff, aka Puffy, aka Puff Daddy, aka Sean John. Million Dollar Baby's Anthony Mackie will play Tupac Shakur, and Antonique Smith, of Across the Universe, will play Faith Evans.

The flick opens January 16. While we're definitely not the connoisseurs of hip hop, the Biggie, Puff Daddy, Tupac story still intrigues us. Thoughts?

Well...at least it wasn't (the grossly overrated) Citizen Kane again.

Empire magazine has compiled their list of the best 500 films of all time with the help of 150 directors, including Quentin Tarantino and Mike Leigh, as well as 50 film critics and more than 10,000 members of the public, which meant that this summer's biggest hit, The Dark Knight, unsurprisingly made the top 20 - the only film from the 21st century to do so.

The top film was The Godfather. Duh. The top ten was rounded out by Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, Singin' in the Rain, Apocalypse Now, GoodFellas, Jaw, The Shawshank Redemption, Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back, and Raiders of the Lost Ark. Some of those we agree with, and some we do not, but we'll let you make up your own mind.

Surprises (bad) included: Superman Returns, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men's Chest, and Sweeny Todd, to which we credit the 10,000 people polled and not the film critics.

Good surprises included: Back to the Future, Evil Dead 2, and Dumb and Dumber, to count a few.

Look over the list and tell us what you think. Upset Citizen Kane ain't atop the list? Pissed they missed something else?

The Hollywood Reporter is telling us that Dreamworks wants Chocky, and several other film projects now that they are separating from Paramount.

DreamWorks has extended its option for the dramatic rights to the science fiction novel Chocky.

Chocky tells the story of a boy who has a mysterious imaginary friend with whom he frequently argues. As the boy's father gets increasingly suspicious, it becomes clear that an alien entity has taken up residence in the boy's consciousness.

But given that DreamWorks is leaving Paramount to become an independent company, here's a question: Who will actually produce the project?

For months, speculation has been rampant about what some call a potential "bloodbath" over DreamWorks-developed projects under the just-ended Paramount deal. What would the DreamWorks execs attempt to take with them when they left?

Ask Paramount execs that question and they reply that the Melrose studio owns all DreamWorks-developed properties outright. Unless DreamWorks partner Steven Spielberg and departing DW chief Stacey Snider purchase one or more of the projects, they're all staying put at Paramount.

DW is believed to be within two weeks of a deal with a studio other than Paramount -- probably Universal -- to distribute its future films.

Should the famed director decide to bargain with Paramount, at least a handful of DreamWorks projects would seem ones that Spielberg and Snider might wish to take with them. They include The Trial of the Chicago 7, which Spielberg was once planning to direct; an Abraham Lincoln/Civil War epic scripted by Tony Kushner; Cowboys and Aliens, a comic book adaptation that has Robert Downey Jr. attached; and The 39 Clues, a series of books that Spielberg has shown an interest in directing and which Jeff Nathanson is adapting.

With rumors swirling that Sienna (can't act) Miller was joining Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes, which sent tabloids atwitter with casting of ex-flame Jude Law as Dr. Watson, that can now be shot down entirely.

Rachel McAdams will star opposite Robert Downey Jr. in Sherlock Holmes, a reimagining of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's supersleuth that Guy Ritchie is directing for Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow.

The movie, which will begin shooting next month, takes its cue from a forthcoming comic book that producer Lionel Wigram wrote as a selling tool for a new take on the classic character. The concept sees Holmes as more adventurous and less stuffy than previous screen incarnations and mines more obscure character traits.

Downey will play Holmes while Mark Strong (RocknRolla) plays the main villain, Blackwood.

McAdams plays Holmes' enigmatic love interest, Irene Adler, a character who appeared in Doyle's 1891 A Scandal in Bohemia. While the character only appeared in that one story, McAdams' personage would return for any possible sequel.

McAdams stars in State of Play with Ben Affleck and Russell Crowe, which is due in theaters in April, as well as The Time Traveler's Wife, which we cannot wait for and will be released in fall 2009.

We don't know about you guys, but McAdams' casting over Miller's makes us MUCH happier.

There has been talk, and now comes the reality. After grossing over $250 million domestically and nearly $600 million worldwide, WB has set official plans to make a prequel to I Am Legend.

Don't you hate it when studios make needless sequels to popular films and release them straight to DVD? But wait! This is a full blown deal. Director Francis Lawrence (Constantine, I Am Legend) is back to direct the ultra charismatic Smith from a script ground out over the past few months from the minds of Lawrence, Smith, producer James Lassiter, and prequel scribe D.B. Weiss.

The first film, while a bit uneven, was really enjoyable and expertly acted. Let's just hope they try a little something new with the CG this time.

The prequel will chronicle the final days of humanity in New York before a man-made virus caused a plague that left Smith’s character the lone survivor among a mutated mob in the city.

There's something about a Lawrence films that keep us coming back for more, and it's hard to put your finger on them. They are enjoyable, well cast, and overall solid entertainment.

Although rumored, but never confirmed, Johnny Depp has officially signed to bring us a fourth Pirates picture with Jerry Bruckheimer producing.

But wait kids, that's not all. It seems The Lone Ranger isn't so alone after all. Depp has also been signed on to co-star as Tonto in Bruckheimer's production of The Lone Ranger. No casting has yet been announced for the Lone man himself, but I'm sure the internet will being to flurry with rumors of who might be, who could be, and who people wish it would be.

Depp really seems to be on a roll with the big budget stuff recently, as earlier this year he was confirmed as the Mad Hatter for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. Burton plans to utilize 3-D motion capture technology along the lines of last year's Beowulf.

Depp-overload? Or Depptastic? You all decide.
