Hamlet 2 review is up--just in time for its wide release this weekend.

The Hollywood Reporter is telling us Woody Harrelson is set to bash some brains and battle zombies.
The actor has signed on to star in the horror comedy Zombieland, which Ruben Fleischer is directing for Columbia Pictures.
Written by the team of Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (The Joe Schmo Show), Zombieland revolves around a mismatched pair of survivors who find friendship and redemption in a world overrun by zombies. Harrelson plays one of the men, a zombie fighter named Albuquerque.
Gavin Polone and his Parish Films shingle are producing.
Harrelson recently starred in Semi-Pro and is in production on Roland Emmerich's 2012. He has the Will Smith starrer Seven Pounds in the can and wrapped Bunraku, a martial arts noir that mixes live action and animation.

At least, that's if Shawn Adler of MTV Movies is to be believed. Diesel was quoted saying, "David Twowy right now is writing the scripts. The only question is whether we take a page from the Lord of the Rings guys and try to shoot the two chapters at the same time. There are two more in mind," he said of Riddick, the Furyan warrior first introduced in the 2000 film Pitch Black. For a sequel that only brought in $57 million domestically and $115 million total worldwide on a $105 million budget, it seems like a long shot for a studio to take a chance on a double shoot. But who knows? Anyone interested in more Riddick?
Walker? Check. Diesel? Check. Brewster? Check. Rodriguez? Ohmygod Check! Yup they're all back to be directed by Justin Lin (Tokyo Drift) in the all new Fast & Furious outing.

Folks over at the Hollywood Reporter are telling us Sean Astin, Celia Weston, and Sara Foster are set to work alongside Michael Vartan and David Cross in the indie comedy Demoted.
Parallel Media's new genre arm Parallel Zide is producing the feature, which centers on two tire salesmen (Astin, Vartan) who delight in playing cruel pranks on their co-worker (Cross). When the victim unexpectedly becomes their boss, he places the humiliated duo in secretarial jobs.
Foster will play the wife of Astin's character, who's tricked into believing he was promoted. Weston will play the head secretary who inspires the best friends to plot their revenge.
The three Innovative Artists-repped actors are all keeping busy, with Astin in production on Stay Cool with Winona Ryder, and Foster starring in the November MGM release, The Other End of the Line. Longtime character actress Weston's credits include Junebug and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.
Warren Zide will produce through his Parallel Zide shingle, and J.B. Rogers will direct from a screenplay by Dan Callahan. Ryan Lewis is executive producing the film, which begins production next month in Michigan.

Looks like the folks over at Warner Bros. have decided to send the Man of Steel the way of The Incredible Hulk. That is, they are planning on taking a wholly watchable film by a good director with a solid cast and completely rebooting it. Jeff Robinov admitted to the Wall Street Journal that "Superman [Returns] didn't quite work as a film in the way that we wanted it to. It didn't position the character the way he needed to be positioned. Had Superman worked in 2006, we would have had a movie for Christmas of this year or 2009. But now the plan is just to reintroduce Superman without regard to a Batman and Superman movie at all." Robinov said Singer could be in the mix if he was willing to take the character in the direction Warner Bros. wanted. Robinov adds, "We're going to try to go dark to the extent that the characters allow it." Hrm, thoughts?
From the producers of Paris, Je T'aime comes the companion piece, New York, I Love You. Directed by the likes of Mira Nair, Shekhar Kapur, Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman, Brett Ratner, and more comes an anthology film that strings together tales of love in the "city that never sleeps." Here's hoping it's as enjoyable as its predecessor, well, maybe more enjoyable as, while Paris certainly had its moments of cinematic bliss, it also had its dull segments. With a cast list that branches on the ridiculous, it's best just to lead you its IMDb page, as these fingers could get exhausted hammering that list out.

Rob Thomas, the creator of Veronica Mars, sat down with his beloved, cancelled series' star, Kristen Bell, to discuss bringing the cult hit to the big screen.
The happenstance meeting took place in Thomas' office which is coincidentally located on the same lot where Bell is currently shooting Heroes. "Kristen and I ran into each other, and we did discuss a Veronica movie," confirms Thomas, who says he has also had "a few conversations" with Mars executive producer Joel Silver.
"It's very tough to focus on it right now with two pilots on my plate," adds Thomas, referring to his two ABC projects, a reworking of his '90s dramedy Cupid and an adaptation of the New Zealand series Outrageous Fortune. "But as soon as I have any free time, that's my top priority."
For her part, Bell considers it a "major compliment" that people are still interested in Mars. "[Fans] still ask me all the time if the show's coming back. Emotionally, I don't want to think about Veronica Mars every day because it really does make me sad."
All Bell was willing to confirm when asked about the feature was a, 'We'll see.'

Nicolas Cage, Aaron Johnson and Lyndsy Fonseca are set to star in "Kick-Ass," Matthew Vaughn's adaptation of the violent Mark Millar comic book.
Written by Millar and drawn by John Romita Jr., the Marvel Comics' Icon imprint book centers on a high school dweeb named Dave Lizewski who decides to become a superhero even though he has no athletic ability or coordination. Things change when he eventually runs into real bad guys with real weapons.
Johnson plays the dweeb and title character, while Fonseca plays the object of the teen's infatuation who believes Dave is gay. Cage is a former cop who wants to bring down a druglord and has trained his daughter (Chloe Moretz) to be a lethal weapon.
Christopher Mintz-Plasse is also in the cast.
Vaughn and his Marv Films partner Kris Thykier are producing the feature, which is being financed independently as many studios balked at the bloody nature of the project. David Reed is also producing.
A fall shoot in London and Toronto is planned.
Brit actor Johnson had a blink-and-you-missed-it cameo as a kiddie Charlie Chaplin in "Shanghai Knights." He went on to star in "The Thief Lord" and is one of the stars of "Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging." He is repped by WMA and Principal Entertainment.
Fonseca, repped by Gersh and Sager Management, is known for her work in TV's "Big Love" as well as "Desperate Housewives" and "How I Met Your Mother."
Cage, repped by CAA, next appears in "Bangkok Dangerous."
